Orange County Sports Teams
There are many different Orange County sports teams in California. There are a few professional major sports as well as college teams and other competitive sporting events in Orange County. Orange County is within the city of Anaheim California. The two major league professional sports teams are the Anaheim Ducks, which is part of the National Hockey League, and the Anaheim Angels, which is part of Major League Baseball. There are also many different sports teams from local colleges and universities, UC Irvine being the biggest.
Orange County sports also includes the Fullerton Flyers a professional baseball team based in Fullerton, PSA Elite an amateur soccer team based in Irvine, the Orange County Ramblers a former professional football team, Back Bay Rugby Club based in Newport Beach, and California United FC a professional soccer team based in Fullerton. Orange County is also home to major tennis events as well as Roller Girls and rugby teams.
Orange County sports also hosts many different sporting events such as the U.S. Open of Surfing, Pro Beach Volleyball, the World Championships of skateboarding, USA Water Polo, and The Toshiba Classic, a professional golf tournament. Orange County was also host to a few sporting events from the 1984 Summer Olympic Games.
As you can see there are many different types of sports teams and events in the Orange County area ranging from Major League to amateur sports and everything in-between.
